Who is For Sale For Lease and why should you use our services?
We are a professional real estate agency that charges from only $149 to $399 to list your property on the main industry websites and $99 per month to cover consultancy costs until your property is sold or leased with no more to pay.
How can this be possible? It’s too cheap, what’s the catch?
We offer the full range of services a traditional agency offers with the exception that we do not conduct the inspections. If you would like to be paid thousands of dollars an hour to conduct open for inspections then this is your chance. By not providing this single service we can charge a fraction of a typical agent’s commission, saving you a small fortune.
A local agent has told me that it is very risky to try to sell privately.
By using For Sale For Lease, you are not actually selling your property privately. Instead, our service gives you access to 30 years of combined real estate experience. We will advise you and help you through the whole process.
I have seen a private sale website for less money.
The private sale and for Sale by Owner (FSBO) property websites simply cannot compete with industry websites, particularly realestate.com.au and domain.com.au which account for over 95% of all Australian Internet property searches alone. To appear on realestate.com.au you need to be listed with a licensed estate agent.
What do I need to do to get my property up on the industry websites?
You need to have your own property description and photos of your property. You can sign up online or send through the information to info@forsaleforlease.com.au. Once we receive information of your property from you, it normally takes us 2 hours to get your listing up and running on websites such as realestate.com.au, domain.com.au and so on during business hours.
What are the requirements for property description and photos?
Your property description should have a main heading which will capture the attention of prospective buyers and it should be short and simple (maximum of 30 characters including spaces). The body of description should have a maximum of 2,500 characters length (including spaces).
We strongly suggest that the size of your photos should be minimum of 250KB or 800×600 to ensure the quality of your advertising listing. Photos should be in JPG, GIF or PNG format. Animated GIFs are not allowed. Images of cartoon houses are also not acceptable.
Why can you not advertise the owner contact details?
Under the Terms and Conditions of using some industry websites, private vendors cannot list properties for sale. Only licensed real estate agents can list properties on these websites. This is part of the services For Sale For Lease can offer you – access to industry websites that will give you maximum exposure to potential buyers.
How are enquiries handled?
Enquiries generally come through email or on the phone. With email enquiries these are forwarded directly to your designated email address. Phone enquiries are actioned in two different ways depending on the source of the enquiry.
For realestate.com.au we action the enquiries directly. This will be either handling their enquiry with the information we have on hand, or passing on the enquirer’s details in an email so you can get back to them to answer their question or organise an inspection.
Weekend enquiries will be handled first thing on Monday morning.
What other services are available and not included in the listing and monthly fee?
We offer to arrange a number of marketing and sales services including; contract preparation, auctioneering services, sworn valuations, property boards and brochures, photography and floor plan drawings, finance. We are paid small referral fees by the providers of these services. It is important to our business that our clients take up some of these services in order to be able to continue to offer a heavily reduced sales commission.

What do I do if I want to discontinue my listing?
Once your property is sold/leased or you decide to discontinue your ad, please send us an email to info@forsaleforlease.com.au or call 1300 622 300 as we need to remove the listing on our end. By doing this, we are able to cancel your recurring payment and make sure that no further payments are deducted from your account. What happens if we would like to try a local agent?
If your property is not sold, For Sale For Lease will refer you to one of our full service real estate agents and refund your upfront payment upon the successful sale of your property. The upfront payment includes the Listing fee only and no recurring monthly fees will be refunded. Please refer to the For Sale For Lease Terms and Conditions for more details.
